Data Cabling & Telecom Installation Sydney

Need a data point in the study, a new phone or NBN wall socket, a damaged lead-in replaced, the NBN box moved, or an apartment MDF fault sorted? We scope the job, book a partnered ACMA-registered cabler for the regulated work, then set up and test the network ourselves. One booking, one point of contact, in English or Chinese.

Blue Ethernet cables patched into network equipment

One booking, the right qualified people

Our IT & network team

Diagnosis, scoping and quoting, routers, switches, WiFi and access-point configuration, testing every point after the install, and talking to your provider.

Partnered ACMA-registered cablers

Regulated fixed cabling: in-wall and ceiling runs, data and phone sockets, lead-in work, MDF jumpering and moving cabling. Quoted separately and carried out by a registered cabler.

What we can arrange

These are the cabling and telecom jobs people most often search for when "another router" will not fix the problem. Each one is scoped and quoted before anything is installed.

Ethernet cables in a labelled patch panel

Data cabling & data points

Cat6 Ethernet runs and wall data points for home offices, gaming PCs, TVs, consoles and access points, patched back to your router or a small switch. Wired connections give full plan speed and the lowest latency, with no WiFi drop-outs.

Searches this covers: data cabling, network cabling, Ethernet cable installation, data point installation.

WiFi access point mounted on a ceiling cable tray

Wireless access points & UniFi

Ceiling or wall access points powered over Ethernet, for homes where mesh is not enough: double brick, multiple floors, granny flats and long houses. We plan placement, arrange the cabling, then set up and tune UniFi or other access-point systems.

Good for: whole-home coverage that stays stable under load.

Modem router with status lights on

NBN box & modem relocation

Router stuck in a cupboard or the NBN box in the wrong room? Often the best fix is to leave the box where it is and run a new cable so the router can sit centrally. Depending on your connection type, moving the NBN connection box itself may need to be requested through your provider; we tell you which applies before quoting.

Row of Ethernet ports on network equipment

NBN & phone wall sockets

New, moved or faulty wall sockets for FTTN, FTTC and FTTB services, and removing old unused sockets left on the line (bridge taps) that drag down speed. Done by a registered cabler and tested with the modem afterwards.

Open cable trench in the ground

Lead-in cable faults & new lead-ins

The cable that runs from the street pit into your home can be crushed, cut during renovations or waterlogged. We find where the fault is. Depending on where it sits and your connection type, it is booked through your provider for NBN Co or quoted for a registered cabler.

Black landline telephone with its cord

Phone line repair & installation

Crackling or dead phone lines, extra phone points, and copper wiring that is also carrying your FTTN or FTTC internet. Line faults are traced first, so you only pay to fix the part that is broken.

Fibre and copper patching in a comms rack

MDF jumpering & apartment cabling

In apartment buildings the line from your unit runs through the building's main distribution frame (MDF) or comms room. Jumpering and building-side cabling are done by a registered cabler, usually with building manager or strata access arranged first.

Small backyard studio building

Granny flat & outbuilding internet

Internet in a granny flat, studio or garage office from the main house: an outdoor-rated cable run where it is practical, or a wireless link where it is not, finished with an access point inside.

Timber wall framing before plasterboard

New builds & renovation pre-wire

Data points, conduit and the NBN box location planned before the walls close, so every room that needs a wired connection has one. Cheaper and neater than retrofitting later.

Signs you need cabling, not another router

Wired speed stuck around 100 Mbps

An old cable or wall port negotiating at 100M caps a gigabit plan, however good the router is.

A room the WiFi will not reach

Upstairs lofts, back rooms and double-brick walls. A cable to an access point fixes what extenders cannot.

Wall ports that do not work

Dead or hidden wall ports after a move, or a socket that only works sometimes.

Gaming and streaming need a wire

Several gamers in one house, or a TV and PC that need stable low ping. Planned Ethernet runs fix it for good.

How a cabling job works

01

Tell us what you need and send a few photos: the NBN box, the wall sockets and the rooms involved. That is often enough for a first estimate.

02

If it is not clear from photos, we visit to check the cable path, the wall and ceiling access and the building rules, then give you a written quote.

03

A partnered ACMA-registered cabler carries out the regulated cabling. We schedule both trades so you do not have to coordinate anyone.

04

We connect and configure the router, switch and access points, then test every new point for link speed and real-world speed.

05

You get the test results and a 12-month workmanship warranty on the work we carried out or arranged.

Pricing

How cabling is priced

Quoted per job

Cabling depends on the number of points, cable run lengths, wall and ceiling access, building type and any strata requirements, so every job gets a written quote before work starts. Site checks are priced like a standard visit, based on travel distance and confirmed before we book.

Every quote spells out

  • Each data, phone or NBN point and where it runs
  • Cable type, wall plates and any switch or access-point hardware
  • The registered cabler's work, itemised
  • Network setup and testing of every new point

Not included unless agreed

  • Work on building common property without strata or building manager approval
  • Work that has to go through your provider or NBN Co, which we help you request
  • Patching walls or ceilings beyond the cable entry points

No work starts until you have approved the written quote.

12-month workmanship warranty

Installation, configuration and repair work we carry out or arrange is covered for 12 months. If it fails because of the workmanship, we come back and put it right at no charge. New hardware carries its manufacturer's warranty. Faults on the provider or NBN network, accidental damage, and later changes made by someone else are not covered.

Common questions

Do you do the cabling yourselves?

Regulated cabling is carried out by our partnered ACMA-registered cablers, as Australian rules require. We scope and quote the job, schedule the cabler, then set up and test the network, so you deal with one team from start to finish.

How much does a data point or Ethernet run cost?

It depends on the cable path, the wall and ceiling access and the number of points, so we quote each job in writing. Photos of the rooms and the NBN box usually let us give a first estimate before any visit.

Can you move my NBN box?

We can arrange it, but often a new cable run is the better answer: the NBN box stays put and the router moves to where you need it. Depending on your connection type, moving the NBN connection box itself may have to be requested through your provider. We tell you which applies before quoting.

Who is responsible for a damaged lead-in?

It depends on where the damage is and your connection type. Some lead-in faults are repaired by NBN Co after your provider books them; others are private-property cabling quoted by a registered cabler. We locate the fault first so you know which route applies.

Can you install WiFi access points in the ceiling?

Yes. We plan placement for your floor plan, the cabler runs the cable to each access point, and we set up, adopt and tune the system, including UniFi.

Do you work in apartments and strata buildings?

Yes. Work inside your unit is straightforward. Anything in the comms room, risers or other common property usually needs building manager or strata approval first, and we help you ask for it.

Can you get internet to my granny flat?

Usually yes: an outdoor-rated cable from the main house where it is practical, or a wireless link where it is not, with an access point inside the granny flat.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes. Work we carry out or arrange, including cabling booked through us, has a 12-month workmanship warranty. Hardware carries its manufacturer's warranty.
